Terms of use
Last updated 20 August 2026
These terms govern your use of NMCMATE at nmcmate.com. By creating an account or buying access you agree to them. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site.
The site and the checkout are in English only. If anything here is unclear, ask us at hello@nmcmate.com before you buy.
Who we are
NMCMATE is operated by Code Kubic Solutions (Company No. 2663998-P), a company registered in Malaysia.
What we provide
NMCMATE is an online practice service for the NMC Test of Competence computer-based test. Depending on what you have bought, it may include a question bank with worked explanations, timed two-part mock exams, Gems revision material, and attempts at a simulated OSCE station.
We are an independent service and have no connection to the NMC. Please read the Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms and explains the limits of what this material is.
Your account
Every signed-in account gets a standing daily allowance of new questions, free, for as long as the account exists. There is no trial to run out.
Your account is personal to you. Do not share your login details, and do not let anyone else use your account. We may suspend or close an account that appears to be shared, sold, or used by more than one person.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for what happens under your account. Tell us at hello@nmcmate.com if you think someone else has access to it.
You must give us accurate details when you register, and keep your email address current: it is how we send receipts and account notices.
Paying for access
Prices are shown on the pricing page in pounds sterling and include any tax we are required to charge. If you pay from a non-sterling account, your card provider sets the exchange rate and may add its own fee. We do not control either.
Access is sold as a one-off payment for a fixed number of days. Nothing renews. There is no subscription, no recurring charge and nothing to cancel. When the days run out, your account drops back to the free daily allowance; it is not closed, and your progress and flagged questions remain.
Buying again while you still have time left adds to the end of what you have rather than replacing it, so you lose nothing by paying early.
OSCE attempts are a separate thing from access to the question bank. They are counted in credits, they do not expire, and buying them grants no question-bank access on its own. One credit is spent when you start an attempt. If you leave a station within two minutes without sending a message, the credit goes back; once you have sent a message, it does not.
Access begins as soon as your payment is confirmed. Occasionally confirmation takes longer, in which case access begins when we receive it.
We may run promotional prices and withdraw them at any time. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.
Cancelling and refunds
If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you normally have 14 days to change your mind about digital content bought online.
Because access starts immediately, that right ends once you begin using the service. Until you do, write to us at hello@nmcmate.com within 14 days of buying and we will refund you in full.
Outside of that, we will consider a refund on its merits: write to us and explain what happened. We would rather sort out a genuine problem than keep money from someone we have not helped. We do not refund an account closed for breaching these terms.
None of this affects your statutory rights.
How you may use the material
The questions, explanations, Gems, OSCE stations and everything else on the site are ours or are licensed to us, and they are protected by copyright.
You may use them for your own personal revision. You may not copy, republish, sell, share, broadcast or systematically download them, and you may not use them to train a machine learning model. You may not use the site or its content to run a course, a tutoring service or a competing product.
We will close the account of anyone who does. Where the misuse is serious we may also pursue it as a matter of law.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or to anyone else's account. Do not use automated tools to scrape it. Do not upload anything unlawful, abusive, discriminatory or deliberately misleading in a question report, a Gem note or a message to us.
Anything you write in an OSCE attempt should be what you would say to a patient. Do not put personal information about a real patient, colleague or yourself into it: it is sent to a third party model provider, as described in the Privacy policy, and there is no clinical need for it.
We may remove content and suspend accounts under this section without notice.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of your own notes, answers and reports. By submitting a question report or feedback you allow us to act on it and to correct our material accordingly, without owing you anything for it.
Availability
We try to keep the site up, but we do not promise it will always be available. It may be down for maintenance, for an upgrade, or for reasons outside our control. Access is not extended for downtime unless it was long enough to have deprived you of a meaningful part of what you paid for, in which case write to us.
Problems with your own device, browser or internet connection are yours to resolve, and are not grounds for a refund.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing in them removes your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows:
- the site is provided as a revision aid, without any warranty that its content is complete, accurate or suitable for any clinical purpose;
- we are not liable for any clinical decision taken in reliance on anything here, and you must use a current authoritative source and your own judgement in practice;
- we are not liable for exam results, for loss of profit, or for any indirect or consequential loss; and
- our total liability to you, for any and all claims, will not exceed what you have paid us.
Ending your access
You may stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud, or if we are required to by law.
Changes
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you by email, and the current version is always on this page with its date. Changes do not apply retrospectively to access you have already bought.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, or in a country whose law gives you protections that cannot be contracted out of, you keep those protections and may bring proceedings locally.
